The Ultrahuman M1 is a continuous glucose monitor that shows, in real time, how your body responds to meals, supplements, movement and sleep. A small sensor on your upper arm tracks your glucose continuously, and the app turns it into clear scores and nudges, so you can see which foods keep your energy steady and which spike it. AVEA distributes it as the metabolic-fitness layer of the longevity stack, and it’s the natural partner to the AVEA Stabiliser: one measures your glucose response, the other helps improve it.
Why it is different
It’s built for metabolic fitness, not diabetes management. Where a medical glucose monitor exists to manage disease, the M1 is a wellness tool for people who want to understand and optimise how their body handles food and energy. It scores individual foods from 1 to 10 and gives you a daily Metabolic Score out of 100, turning abstract glucose data into something you can act on. It also nudges you in the moment, suggesting a short walk after a meal to blunt a spike. Paired with the AVEA Stabiliser, it closes a loop most supplements can’t: you can watch your post-meal spike flatten after you start taking it, rather than trusting that it works.
What it helps with
- Seeing how specific foods, meals and supplements affect your glucose
- Steadier energy and fewer afternoon crashes and cravings
- Understanding your own metabolic patterns rather than generic nutrition advice
- Measuring whether a glucose-supporting supplement is actually working
Key specifications

How it works
A small self-adhering sensor places a thread-like filament just beneath the skin, where it reads glucose in the interstitial fluid rather than from blood, which is why application is near-painless and removal doesn’t bleed. The sensor streams data to the app continuously, and the app’s algorithms convert raw glucose curves into a daily Metabolic Score (built from your average glucose, how variable it is, and how much time you spend in your target range) and a 1-to-10 score for individual foods, then prompts small real-time adjustments. The reason this matters for longevity rather than just energy: large, frequent swings in glucose, known as glycemic variability, are associated in research with higher risk. Studies link high fasting-glucose variability in young adults to a 1.64 times higher risk of developing diabetes and a 1.25 times higher risk of all-cause mortality, and glycemic variability correlates with raised Hs-CRP, a marker of systemic inflammation. In Ultrahuman’s own platform data, engaged users improved their Metabolic Score by 8% over four weeks. These are research and device figures cited by Ultrahuman, not medical claims; the M1 is a wellness and metabolic-fitness tool, not a medical device for diagnosing or managing diabetes.
How to use
Apply a sensor to the back of your upper arm with the applicator and wear it continuously for 14 days, including overnight and in the shower; don’t remove it between times. Pair it with the app to see your data from the first day, no calibration wait. Replace it with the second sensor when the first reaches 14 days. If you take the AVEA Stabiliser, take it before your largest carb-heavy meals and watch how the post-meal curve changes.
Works well with
Its flagship pairing is the AVEA Stabiliser, the measure-and-improve glucose loop. It also complements the Metabolic Routine and Reset Routine, and the Magnesium Complex, which supports insulin sensitivity. Its sister device, the Ultrahuman Ring AIR, adds sleep, recovery and HRV, completing the tracking layer over your AVEA routine.
Good to know
Made by Ultrahuman and distributed by AVEA, who provides the longevity-protocol context; the sensors, app, scoring and coaching come through Ultrahuman’s ecosystem. A wellness and metabolic-fitness device, not a medical CGM for diabetes. One-off purchase; since each package covers 28 days, most people repurchase roughly monthly for continuous tracking.
